Hi! My name is BreeAnna (That's me! I loved cheering for the Bearcats!) I founded CHEER SQUAD to help all kids access all activities. Why?
In 9th grade, after weeks of practice & auditions, I was elated to find out I’d made the cheer squad, but even now (many years later!) I still remember how fast that joy was replaced by a pit in my stomach when I learned how much cheer was going to cost. Instead of celebrating, I was scared of losing my spot on the squad if I couldn’t pay for uniforms, camp, etc.
What happened? People showed up! A coach helped with cheer fees. A local business sponsored my trip to camp. Their generosity encouraged me, opened doors, and led to opportunities that enriched my life.
CHEER SQUAD was founded in the spirit of that generosity, because the reality is many kids still miss out on activities because of cost. We're showing up to help cover those costs, and most importantly, to cheer kids on!
